Over the years we have taught many people to become PADI dive instructors and Divemasters. We pride ourselves on finding out about what our guests enjoyed and didn't enjoy. This is the only way we can maintain our standards and ensure that our guests go away having enjoyed their entire PADI Instructor Development Course with Blue Season Bali.

My fiancé and I have recently returned from Bali having spent 4 weeks with Blue Season Bali on a divemaster internship. It turned out to be a fantastic experience for us, and one we’ll never forget. We feel the need to let you guys at PADI know what a great advert for your organisation Blue Season Bali is and would like to mention a few people in particular as ‘stand-outs’ in a stellar operation.

Everyone at Blue Season was so friendly and helpful and we were made to feel like part of the family from the moment that we arrived. The degree of professionalism on display in this organisation was something to behold. From the drivers right up to the Course Director, everyone knew their job inside out, and this was evident by the way everything ran smoothly on even the most busiest of days.

As a teaching professional by trade, I was very impressed with the way everything was taught. And I must mention that the facilities are first class – Blue Season Bali provides the perfect environment for both teaching AND learning. It is evident that a lot of time and consideration has been given to the needs of both Instructors and students in the development of the facilities at Blue Season.

From the outset, we had lots of questions for Jonathan about the diving, course requirements, quality of living in Bali, the type of accommodation, transportation, climate, medical facilities, food and entertainment - both Jonathan and Tom West made our communications easy by way of email, and even though we were living in China they offered to phone us at our convenience. There was never more than a day between sending and receiving emails, and many times a reply was received within hours and this was throughout the twelve months between our first enquiries until our arrival. Our course materials were sent to us well in advance in both English and Chinese, and there was always someone available to answer any questions we had - this was a great help to both of us.

We’d like to mention three members of staff that we feel are due particular praise and acknowledgement:

Phil (641893) has a great passion for diving and teaching, and shows maturity beyond his years when dealing with guest divers and interns with varying skill levels and requests. He made us feel relaxed and was very patient with us in both his explanations and demonstrations. Phil was always approachable and willing to answer any of our questions whether first thing in the morning or last thing at night. He mentioned to us that he was hoping for a career in diving, and in my honest opinion, he will go on to become a great Course Director in the future.

Russ (252077) is a really likeable character and tremendous instructor. Having assisted him with an open water course under very difficult circumstances, his ability and compassion enabled two students to overcome great difficulties and go on to become competent certified divers. The manner in which he conducts himself is that of a consummate professional and I’m sure he’ll go from strength to strength and continue climbing the PADI ladder.

Jonathan Cross, (Course Director 113652) is without doubt, a truly outstanding professional, and displays many of PADI’s role model characteristics as genuine personal traits. He has a fantastic knowledge of the PADI system and the business of diving. He is a PADI man through and through, and as such is the benchmark for all aspiring instructors and dive center owners.

To sum up, Blue Season is a fantastically run business with quality and safety first and foremost in everyone’s thinking. We can’t thank them enough for the memories they have given us – and the training wasn’t that bad either! We will definitely be back to do our IDC with them, and they have given us the inspiration to open our own dive center in China next year. Hopefully PADI will pass on our congratulations to them and give everyone at Blue Season Bali CDC the pat on the back that they so rightly deserve.

I can only rate my experience of being mentored by Tom as 10/10 and I would highly recommend any friends who wanted to pursue DMT to be instructed by him. He is a great asset to your organisation. His business mindset coupled with his clear passion for creating well equipped Divemasters meant that he did service not only to his students, but also the reputation and success of Blue Season Bali dive business as a 5 Star IDC center. Tom ensured we pushed through it efficiently and effectively but all the time with a great sense of humour and fun, making my month off work enjoyable as well as a great achievement.

Blue Season Bali was recommended to me by one of the instructors at my Divemaster internship in Malaysia, who had done his IDC there. The IDC I got lived up to and surpassed my expectations, and I have no reservations in recommending BSB to my students in turn. Staff was professional and helpful, instruction and training relevant and to the point, teaching facilities of high standards, and accommodation of good quality. My only regret is that I didn't have the chance to get there earlier, to make use of the week of diving prior to the IDC that was included in the price!

Was going to save this til tomorrow but better to do it now as things do tend to get busy around here.

Just wanted to take a minute to say thanks...
The IDC experience was a very positive one for me.
Keeping logistics going, being there to answer questions, supporting us every step of the way shows that you really care and take pride in this operation.
You have also done a fantastic job with developing and running a "first class" facility.
The people you have hired have been very helpful and professional as well... from the office staff, drivers, workers, guard... All follow your lead!
I wish you continued success, prosperity, and safe/fun diving and training for many years to come.
I will definitely recommend divers to consider Blue Season Bali for their future dive career training/development.
