Three reasons I decided to teach Scuba Diving with PADI Matthew
Deciding to become a Scuba Diving Instructor and doing an IDC wasn’t a tough choice. I like diving and I like teaching. But which organisation to choose took more thought. There are quite a few diving organisations out there.
I’m sure you know there are individual organisations for most developed countries, with an array of titles and abbreviations. I wanted to choose an organisation that could give me the widest choice on location. An organisation that potentially had teaching opportunities worldwide. I also thought long and hard about cost. Which for most of us is a daily consideration and one we can’t ignore. So choosing an organisation which had a variety of courses, from full time intensive internships to once a week with a local dive club.
And then there was the main reason I wanted to teach in the first place. The students, I wanted lots and lots of students. Scuba diving is amazing! It can change your life, take you into a world full of incredible creatures and stunning scenery. The more people I can introduce to the underwater adventure the happier I am. So I wanted an organisation that had access to as many potential clients as possible.
So my three reasons are simple.
- Location. I want to dive all over the world using one qualification
- Cost. The most varied and flexible way to pay. The biggest choice on courses.
- Clients. The most accessible organisation out there.
